HomeSizes answers “what size do I need?” for UK homes: the bed, the bedding that fits it, the curtains for a window, the rug for a room.

How sizes are sourced

Only published guides. Every figure is copied from a named UK retailer, maker or consumer guide, linked at the bottom of the page it appears on, with the date it was checked.
Disagreements are shown. Where two sources give different sizes (a king duvet is 225 × 220 cm at Which? and 230 × 220 cm at Dunelm), both are shown rather than averaged.
Worked figures are labelled. Room sizes, curtain pole lengths, rug borders and TV distances are simple arithmetic on the published rules, and the page says so.
Children’s sizes live elsewhere. Cot, cot-bed and toddler bedding are on KidsSizes.
