What size rug under a bed?
Lay the rug sideways under the lower two-thirds of the bed, so you step onto it on both sides.

Rug Kingdom also lists 160 × 230 cm for a small double. For a king, it says 200 × 290 cm gives a generous border and 160 × 230 cm works in a smaller room.
Placement
- Lay the rug sideways under the lower two-thirds of the bed, stopping short of the bedside tables (Rug Kingdom).
- Or put a runner, or an 80 × 150 cm rug, each side of the bed (Rug Kingdom).
- The Rugs Collection suggests the rug should reach at least 60 cm beyond each side of the bed, so your feet land on it.
